The Kogi Documentary Project was started in 1997, when
Tribal Ink News was founded. At that time I had attended
the “Second International Gathering of Priest and
Elders of the Americas” held in the Colombian Amazons
in June 1997. This was my first encounter with the Kogis
and it opened a door to the Kogi World and their prophecy.
It was also a meeting with Emerson Jackson from the Dine
(Navajo) Nation, a link of 2 Native cultures, the Eagle
of the North uniting with the Condor of the South. http://www.tribalink.org/kogi/thekogi.htm
For 40 years the Colombian Government has been at war with
the FARC and ELN, turning into a drug war and humanitarian
crisis. In 1998 the Peace Process was unstable, the FARC
were in control of the Sierra and the tour was postponed.
In the summer of 2004, I traveled back to Bogota and met
the 2 main Elders in charge of the IPS, a government run
health system for the whole native population of the Sierra
Nevada of Santa Marta. I asked what they needed and they
said they would like to buy land to build a hospital. They
want the world to know their ancient message before it is
too late.
Tribal Ink News has signed a 3-year humanitarian cooperation
agreement with the Kogi Mamas (Elders). We feel their last
message will touch the world. Time is calling. Is the world
willing to listen….
We have accomplished the following:
Letter of Cooperation from Gonawindua
Tayrona Organization IPS, Official Native Organization
authorizing Tribal Ink News to raise funds for Hospital

for Saatchi
Saatchi in New York agreeing to be consultant. www.lovemarks.com
